Women anti harassment cell

Equal Opportunity/SC ST Cell

Harassment leads to absenteeism, poor morale, loss of focus and legal consequences. The cell defined gender harassment as behaviors, both verbal and nonverbal that project/express violent and insulting feelings about women. Harassment can include “sexual harassment” or unwelcome sexual advances, request for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature. Examples of this include gestures, taunts, hazing, threats, sexual slurs, etc. Over the years, sexual harassment has taken a lot of time to be recognized as a real issue.

  • Women are raising their voices about unwanted and unacceptable behavior that creates yet another barrier to their success. Let’s make sure those voices heard!
  • To develop principles and procedures for combating sexual harassment.
  • To organize awareness programmes and campaigns for the benefit of all members of the College on sexual harassment and gender based discrimination.
  • Organizing different activities to make women aware of their health, self defense etc .Highlighting the importance of spirituality, health, hygiene and safety.
